At its inception, FACEY COMMODITY COMPANY LIMITED was a small commission agency called Cecil B. Facey Limited, established in 1926 and born of true Jamaican entrepreneurship. It was acquired by the Matalon family in 1962 and was quickly placed among the first three entities within the newly registered ICD Group of Companies.
Presently the company is one of Jamaica's largest retail and distribution enterprises, offering a wide variety of goods and supplies through its three divisions: Merchandise, Telecom and Pharmaceutical.
In June 2000 Facey was acquired by Seprod Ltd and Musson Jamaica Ltd two of the largest and most successful manufacturers and distributors in Jamaica. Musson Jamaica Ltd. is a privately owned Company owned by Mr. Desmond Blades (one of the most prominent business leaders in Jamaica). Seprod is a limited liability company trading on the Jamaica stock exchange and very successful manufacturing company.
The objective of Facey Commodity is to provide high quality Consumer and Pharmaceutical products, and services that improve the standard of living in Jamaica.
Facey Pharmaceutical Division has had an outstanding record of accomplishment in Jamaica having represented ethical and OTC Principals for over 70 years. The strength of this division is largely due to its representation of such reputable giants as Wyeth Ayerst, Pfizer, Roche and Boehringer Ingelheim. The Division has had consistent growth.
Facey Telecom Division was established to offers Digicel recharge cards as well as fulfillment and procurement services for all GSM cellular phones in Jamaica. The Major suppliers of Phones are Nokia, Panasonic, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Siemens. The division has grown tremendously as the telecommunication market has deregulated and has expanded to service other countries in the region including:

Facey Merchandise Division distributes a wide range of food and household products. The division represents such international companies as Kraft, Nabisco, Goya and Ovaltine, and also maintains two house brands, Eve and Delite. The division is also the leading distributor of UHT products with the Serge Islands milk, Power Punch, Delite juices and Swizzle. Novartis has now given Serge Island Dairies the license to produce Ovaltine Milk Drink in a UHT package also being distributed by Facey. This division has recently been reorganised by a young dynamic team and is now a very profitable unit.
Facey ValuDrug Division is the newest initiative of the company. Under this registered name, Facey Commodity operates a chain of pharmacies islandwide. The vision is to lead the way to better healthcare and a healthier nation resulting in value for all. On this premise, it is the mission on the ValuDrug division to provide excellent and economical healthcare solutions and services to Jamaica and the Caribbean through paramount service, economies of scale and the latest technological advancements delivering value to our customers and shareholders.
